The initial consultation for a design and build project sets the stage for success. It involves understanding the client’s goals, conducting a site visit, defining project scope and budget, planning timelines, and conceptualizing designs.

ENGAGING OUR SERVICES
At this time you have made the decision to hire REEF as your partner in the home building process. We will initiate and sign an Engagement Agreement.
This Agreement does not obligate you to build anything, but simply outlines the preliminary services you have engaged REEF to conduct, and represents a commitment to each other to work in good faith to design and obtain permits for your new home, remodel, and/or addition.
PRELIMINARY PLANNING
In the preliminary planning phase of the design and build process, our focus is on laying a solid foundation for the project. This phase is crucial as it sets the tone and direction for the entire project journey. Here’s an overview of what this phase entails:

FINAL DOCUMENTS & PERMITTING
In the final documents and permitting phase, we prepare all necessary paperwork and obtain permits to ensure regulatory compliance before construction begins. This includes finalizing designs, coordinating with engineers, estimating costs, preparing contracts, and obtaining permits from relevant authorities.
Our goal is to streamline the process and provide peace of mind, ensuring a smooth transition to the construction phase.
FORMAL AGREEMENT
A formal agreement is a crucial step in any project, establishing the terms, responsibilities, and expectations of all parties involved. This legally binding document outlines the scope of work, project timeline, payment terms, and other essential details.
By signing the agreement, both parties confirm their commitment to the project and ensure clarity and accountability throughout its duration.
